Whole30 - Day 19

Happy Friday, internet friends! Does anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend?

Today for breakfast I actually ate leftovers from last night's dinner. Hey, it had eggs in it, so that works. Actually, It Starts With Food recommends that you get out of the 'breakfast' mindsight, and just consider it another meal, where anything goes. But I just can't do it. Eating stirfry or something in the morning just feels totally wrong to me. Even eating Joe's Special this morning felt a little weird.

I don't know, I guess I'm a traditionalist!

And here's something bad -- I totally missed lunch today. I don't know, by the time I started to get hungry it was almost 2pm -- and then I had a meeting, and by the time my meeting ended it was past 3, and it felt too late to eat lunch. So I just mooched a big handful of raw almonds and a small green apple from my colleague and called it done. 

To make up for it, I had a super delicious dinner: STEAK. On the BBQ. This is becoming a new Friday favourite for me. This time I bought rib eye instead of strip loin and holy cow! (Pun intended. :) ) It was sooooo good. I actually ate even more than what was pictured here because it was so delish. So  meaty and rich. 


With it I had a bunch of steamed green beans (as you can see), with a little salt and ghee. Yum. 

Bubbles on the side! Carbonated water is my new BFF. 


That's it for today.  I was planning to do my second Couch To 5K run tonight, but I was so hungry by the time I got home that I just wanted to eat ... and then I was too full. Haha. #fail. I'll go tomorrow instead -- hopefully it won't be so humid either.
